CHS Engineers is proud to have made the King County Best Workplaces for Waste Prevention and Recycling honor roll for the second year in a row. We have participated in this program for the past six years. By actively recycling office waste and old technology as well as maintaining electronic files for business practices, we are able to reduce the demand for resources for ourselves, our clients and associate networks thus reinforcing our mission to maintain an environmentally sustainable workplace. For more information on the Best Workplaces for Waste Prevention and Recycling program please visit King County’s website.

For the ninth consecutive year, CHS Engineers has participated in the annual Childhaven Box Lunch Challenge.  It’s a win-win for us and Childhaven.  We order delicious box lunches prepared by Gretchen’s Shoebox Express and Childhaven’s volunteers deliver it to right to our office!  Childhaven gets a portion of our receipts to help provide therapy and care to abused and neglected children in the Puget Sound area.  Check out Childhaven’s web site www.childhaven.org for information on their exceptional programs and plan to join us next year!

Employees from CHS enjoyed a fun day of service at the Seattle YWCA. We joined 250 volunteers organized by the local chapter of the Master Builders Association in painting the dorms and offices of the building originally constructed in 1915. Our bright new t-shirts became works of art in their own regard as the day of painting progressed!
