In January 2018, CHS Engineers celebrates the completion of 25 years of dedicated service to our client communities and municipalities. The goal of the company remains focused on customer satisfaction: delivering timely, responsive, and quality technical services. We continue to enjoy long-term relationships with many clients that were with us at the founding and have remained with us through both good and economically challenging times. We look forward to providing service to current and future clients as we continue in the new year!

For the ninth consecutive year, CHS Engineers has participated in the annual Childhaven Box Lunch Challenge. It’s a win-win for us and Childhaven. We order delicious box lunches prepared by Gretchen’s Shoebox Express and Childhaven’s volunteers deliver it to right to our office! Childhaven gets a portion of our receipts to help provide therapy and care to abused and neglected children in the Puget Sound area. Check out Childhaven’s web site www.childhaven.org for information on their exceptional programs and plan to join us next year!

The Town of La Conner opened the new Boardwalk to the public after the current phase was construction complete. CHS designed the steel pile supported, over water, walkway and provided construction support. The Boardwalk provides a 1400 LF scenic walkway along the Swinomish Channel and gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy the waterfront. The project also improved the fish habitat by removing solid decks and replacing them with light penetrable grating.

Employees from CHS enjoyed a fun day of service at the Seattle YWCA. We joined 250 volunteers organized by the local chapter of the Master Builders Association in painting the dorms and offices of the building originally constructed in 1915. Our bright new t-shirts became works of art in their own regard as the day of painting progressed!
