Perrinville Creek Diversion

Owner: City of Edmonds

Client: Jerry Shuster, P.E.

A stormwater diversion structure was built in the mid 1990’s which was intended to handle stormwater flows from 10 to 250 cfs. However, flows greater than 70 cfs overwhelmed the existing stream outfall and caused flooding damage to the local residents. CHS reviewed the existing situation and proposed improvements. The proposed alternatives were discussed with Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and the existing weir was replaced and a stream maintenance diversion pipe was added.
